German pancakes are not like traditional pancakes where they are cooked on the stovetop and made into individual circles, while these are made in a pan or a pie plat and are cooked in the oven. When my Grandma made these for me for the first time i thought i can’t believe i have never heard of these.
1/2 cup flower
1/2 cup milk
3 Tab butter
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F then mix every thing together in a bowl and set aside. When the oven is preheated (or close to preheated) add the butter to a 8 by 12 baking pan and stick it in the oven until the butter is melted. (be careful, you don’t want the butter to burn) When the butter is melted add the batter into the pan and put it back in the oven and cook for 15-30 or until puffed and golden brown.Serve warm with powdered sugar or jelly.
