Jam turnovers

These were just an experiment i wanted to try one day…and it worked…and they tasted good.My Grandpa makes homemade jam and we had a few jars and some puff pastry on hand so we made them.

Jam turnovers

Ingredients

1 sheet store bought puff pastry

1 jar of jam any flavor

1 egg

Preheat oven to 425 F.Roll out the puff pastry  and take a circle cutter or a circle cup and cut out circles (how many more times do you think i’ll say circle) then put them on a sheet tray and fill with about  1 Tab jam or jelly. Then take the egg and whisk it up and with a pastry brush, then brush the edges of half circle, then fold the other half of the circle over the jam, then take a fork and crimp the edges.Stick in the oven for 10 min or until golden brown. And sprinkle with powdered sugar (As you can see in the photo).
