Nanna’s sheet cake brownies

This is my Grandma’s recipe and they are my favorite brownies, well they are kind like brownies. The brownie part is thinner and it has a delicious frosting. These are so good!!!










Now to make the frosting





2 cups flour

2 cups sugar

1/4 tea salt

1 cup water

1/4 cocoa powder

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 stick butter

2 eggs

1 tea baking soda

1/2 cup buttermilk

For the frosting:

1 cup sugar

1/3 butter

1/4 milk

1/2 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375F and grease a 12 by 17 jelly roll pan. Mix the flour, sugar and salt in a medium bowl. Heat the water, coco, oil and butter in a saucepan until the butter is melted. Pour the liquid mixture on tope of the flour mixture and mix. Than add the eggs, baking soda and buttermilk, and mix again until incorporated. Pour the batter in to the greased pan and bake for 20-25 min. For the frosting mix and melt in a saucepan the sugar, butter and milk. When the butter is melted, add the chocolate chips, beat well unit the mixture is thick and the chocolate chips are melted. When the cake is  warm add the frosting on top of the cake and spread it around ( if your frosting has been sitting out and is  to thick add it on when the cake is a little bit warmer so it loosens up a little bit). Than let the frosted cake cool so the icing hardens up. Than eat!!
